Sports Market

A live market where the fair value keeps moving and the quoted price is always slightly behind. Learning to act in that gap is the exercise.

Projecting a total

The market is on the final combined score. Your fair value is current points + (scoring rate × periods remaining).

Early on, the projection is dominated by the rate and barely by the score. Late on, it inverts — the score is nearly settled and the rate hardly matters. Candidates who keep weighting both equally misprice the endgame badly.

Trading the lag

When news lands — an injury, a scoring run — the true rate changes immediately, but the quoted market is still priced off the old rate for a moment.

That moment is the entire opportunity, and it is a faithful model of real markets: information arrives, and the price takes time to absorb it. The traders who profit are the ones who already knew what the fair value would be before the news made it obvious.

Managing a position

You can trade at every update, so positions accumulate. A trader who buys at every tick regardless of price is not trading — they are just long.

Watch your position size in the header. Being flat is a legitimate and often correct state, and the drill does not reward activity for its own sake.

Everything here is a simulation. Scores are in points. No real money is staked, won or lost, and no gambling service is offered.

Common questions

Is this real sports betting?
No. The match is entirely simulated, the teams are fictional, and no money is involved.
